Work-Related Injury

An ankle sprain is a tear of a ligament in the ankle.

The tear can be minor, healing quickly, more severe sometimes taking several months, or a complete detachment requiring surgery for reattachment.

The muscles and tendons around the ankle can become injured at the same time and develop compromised patterns.

Compensation, such as walking differently, is common following the sprain, as normal gait and movement are compromised. It is not uncommon for other regions in the body to develop pain patterns during this time.

Specific NMT techniques can help heal the injured tissues and rebalance the compromised areas.
